WordPress was not cooperating with me on the 24th, so this is my Tuesday post, posted today instead.
We’re officially in the home stretch of counting down to the cruise. Crazy that it’s next week. I’ll soon be tasked with deciding what concert tees I want to bring with me this time around. I have a big variety of old and new ones in my closet, so I’m looking forward to going through them and picking them out. I retired form wearing my Greg Lake Songs of a Lifetime tour shirt after Greg passed, but I did pull it out for the cruise a few years back, in 2022, I believe. That shirt is boxed up back in California, though. I finished checking in online in my cruise portal
Marillion announced a five-day Weekend planned for next year in Port Zelande, and I’m thinking that may be the perfect way to celebrate my 30th birthday. Really, five days of Marillion concerts sounds like a true dream. You may as well call it a Marillion Week!
I drove down to Lincoln on Sunday to meet with some friends at a board game cafe for game night. Beforehand, I stopped at the Gateway Mall to visit the EntertainMART, easily one of my favorite media stores in the Nebraska area. While browsing their CD collection, I came across and bought a copy of Oysterhead’s album The Grand Pecking Order, a trio featuring Les Claypool, Stewart Copeland of The Police, and Trey Anastasio of Phish. I gave to a listen by running the CD on my Playstation 2 console. While not a perfect CD on a technical level, with some substantial stalling and skipping on a few tracks, the music itself was a fun time. I liked how it blended elements of all 3 bands each member represented.
