Lots going on musically! I spent several ours yesterday researching and booking hotels for England, as well as utilizing Google Maps to check out areas of interest so I can strategize the days I plan to spend in London, as well as some potential evening activities for when I’m in Brighton, since the music camp will be taking place 10AM-5PM the four days I am there.
In other news,”Protocol” went live a few days ago, and the initial response has made me all the more proud that Rachel decided to revisit it and put the finishing touches on it. I made sure to let as many friends know about it as I could. I will leave the Bandcamp link at the end of this entry. I’m so happy to have been a part of that project, and it’s given me more motivation to make more of our past songs a reality.

This weekend, there’s a couple of musical events of interest happening in the Omaha area. On Friday, there’s the annual Memorial Park concert, which is a free event. Performers include Smokey Robinson and Cake, so I think that would be a great event to check out. I saw Smokey a couple of years ago play a show at the Venetian in Las Vegas. My history with Cake goes back to my teen years, when we learned the song “Easy to Crash” in band. Sunday is finally the day I see Weird Al Yankovic at the Baxter Arena. I’m not as well-versed in his work as others, but I’m looking forward to it!
