Back with the third and last set of questions from my 10-question interview with Peter White. Enjoy!

Part 9. What activities do you enjoy doing outside of music?
Peter : I like to go hiking and swimming when I can, but some days I just kick a soccer ball against a wall for exercise. I get totally absorbed in this – you are never quite sure which direction the ball is going to come back to you so it keeps you on your toes! Reading biographies is a passion of mine, mostly musician biographies. I am fascinated by the journey that every successful musician has to take to get where they are! Also as my email address is on my website www.peterwhite.com I get messages from people all over the world and it’s interesting to hear what they are thinking and feeling. Most of the time I’m pretty good at replying! And of course I follow the ASFAB facebook page with interest as playing with Al Stewart was a huge part of my professional life for almost 20 years.
Part 10. The current pandemic has taken an unprecedented toll on the music industry, with live events being postponed for the foreseeable future. Many musicians have recently expressed concern over how this health emergency will impact touring and performing in the long run. Do you find yourself having similar concerns or are you feeling optimistic that the industry will recover in due time?
Peter : The music industry will recover and find ways to adapt, even if everyone has to watch the show with face masks on and social distancing! People will always want to hear live music, and although I don’t have any shows right now I have been busy writing and recording music in my studio for later release. I see many musicians live-streaming their music which is great. I haven’t done so much of that lately as I am working on numerous musical recording projects right now.
