Bummer I’m not at ProgStock this time around. Some photos have already been shared on Facebook and it looks great! I know Rachel is performing with her band Estronaut tomorrow, which I’m sure will be a hit with attendees.
To my surprise, Al Stewart announced a handful of shows for next March and October of 2027. The March shows are west coast shows based mainly in Northern and Southern California. If I were still living in California, I’d likely be hitting more than one of those shows. This comes a year after playing what were thought to be his final run of shows before retiring. Assuming he’s getting back out there for the fun of it, I’m happy he still finds joy in performing. He’s doing some shows around the Midwest in October 2027, none of which are close to Omaha, though. I would still love to make it out to a show if I can.
Guitar work has been largely focused on Marillion material, especially the Afraid of Sunlight album. I think I’ve been able to work out the rhythm sections for half the record, but I haven’t tried the lead parts yet.
